A free and open code development setting.
Eclipse SDK is an enormous and very complete development platform and setting to create any type of application from scratch, whatever its level, genre and size.
It is an independent platform in open code, that lets you widen the numerous possibilites with modules and extensions. At first it works with Java language, but you can also widen it to any other.
For example, the well-known Java Development Toolkit (JDT) and the compiler included in Eclipse have been developed with Eclipse SDK. If you want a global definition, Eclipse SDK is a completely free, open code and universal development setting, that works for any programming project you can think of.
NOTE: To make sure Eclipse SDK works correctly, you need to install Java Runtime Environment 6.0 or later.
